Planes, Trains and Automobiles

On Friday I watched a film called Planes, Trains and Automobiles.  It’s a comedy film about two men called Neal and Del being forced to travel together.  It’s directed by John Hughes who also directed Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The men are very different but finally become friends. Neal is very short tempered and Del is very easy going. Del is very cheerful but Neal is quite cold and unfriendly.

I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone. Have you seen it? If you have seen it what was your favourite part?

Starting Ninjutsu

Yesterday I went to my second Ninjutsu lesson in Yokohama. The teacher is Paul Masse and he’s very nice and amazing at moving.  Also there are 2 other instructors Ryu and Keneto who teach on Sundays.

The lessons are 1hr 30 min and we do lots of different things in the lessons. There were about 15 people there and they were all very nice and friendly. We did rolling, handstands(I can’t do them) cartwheels(I can’t do them) and handstand walking(Impossible for me).

In pairs we did punching and blocking and different joint locks and later we did sword fighting.

My Favourite Games

My favourite games are: Minecraft, Brawl Stars, Asphalt 9 Legends and Poppy Playtime.

Minecraft:

Minecraft is a sandbox game where you are in a 3D world made of cubic blocks. You start building, mining and making different things while fighting mobs and killing bosses.

I like this game because you can basically do whatever you want and build anything that comes in mind.

Brawl Stars:

This is a game where you are in a 2d plane and have to fight with other players and there are many puzzles. For example there are launchers, tele-porters and spikes.

I love this game because you can play it with all of your friends and the characters have funny powers

Asphalt 9 Legends:

Asphalt 9 Legends is a fast-paced action car racing game. The graphics are the best car-racing game graphics for phones. You can collect different famous cars like the Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini Aventador and even a Lamborghini Centenario.

I love this game because of the amazing graphics and the speed of the cars(without making it impossible to play)

Poppy Playtime:

In Poppy Playtime you visit a deserted toy factory and try and find out what happened to it. You first try and get the factory working again. Once the factory machines turn on, a big toy monster called Huggy Wuggy chases you through the factory. You can drop a big box on him and he dies, falling off a metal walkway. At the end of chapter 1 you find the toy “Poppy” and let it out of its glass case. I don’t know what happens in chapter 2 yet but I think it will come out soon.

Aquaman:
This film is about a light-house keeper who falls in love with Atlanna, the queen of Atlantis. They have a son called Arthur but, the king of Atlantis comes and take Atlanna back to Atlantis because she had an arranged marriage with another person in Atlantis. When the king finds out that Atlanna married a human he is mad and executes her. The film from there is about Aquaman(Arthur) fighting with his brother to see who is the true king of Atlantis.

I like this film because the graphics are amazing and I really like the tridents.

Stampede:
Stampede is about an alien substance that turns animals into huge giants found in space by scientists. Dwayne Johnson is in this film he is an animal keeper and has a huge pet gorilla.

I like this film because it’s funny and scary.

Duel:
This film is about a fight between a person in an oil-tanker truck and a man driving through an American desert who keeps getting attacked by the truck driver. The truck is crashing in to him or driving super fast behind him.

I like this film because it’s weird, scary and thrilling

Project X:
This film is about a young man called Jimmy who gets a job in a Airforce testing laboratory.  He becomes friends with a chimpanzee and decides to rescue the chimpanzee from the lab.

It was an exciting film. I like the main actor, Matthew Broderick, he was in the film Ferris Bueller’s Day off and War Games.

Stand By Me:
This film is about 5 children going on a long journey along a train track to see a dead body so they pack there’re bags and go. From there it’s about the lives of the children and the small village they live in.

This was a sad, exciting film so I liked it.

My first skateboard

Last Thursday I got my first skateboard. It’s a toy one that isn’t very good but it’s good enough for skating and sometimes tricks. I will get a good one later this year.

I can’t do any tricks yet and the skateboard always turns turns which is annoying but still it’s okay for a $15 skateboard. I want to get a proper one soon. Have you got any tips or suggestions about skateboarding?

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Recently I went to see the Ghostbusters Afterlife film. I’ve watched Ghostbusters 1 and 2 but haven’t seen the Ghostbusters Reboot but might watch it soon.

It was my first time to see a film at the cinema for ages. The film is about a brother and sister going to live in a broken down house with a farm in Summerville. It was funny, scary and exciting. My favourite bit was when the brother and sister go on the Ghostbuster Cadillac and nearly catch Muncher(The iron eating ghost). They use Proton packs to stun Muncher then they try and catch it with a ghost trap.

Later they find Egon Spengler had been pushing back a demon called Gozar from coming out of a deep hole in Ivo Shandor’s mine in Summerville with 4 proton packs attached to the ceiling. The system automatically pushes the demons back for a while.

However in 2021 Gozer was planning to take over the world once again. Egon Spangler knew this so he built a ghost trap in an old farm. The trap was made using many ghost traps parallel to each other and a switch to activate all the ghost traps at once. When Egon Spangler used his trap the power failed and he locked all the GhostBuster’s equipment away. He then got killed by a weird creature which he lured in his farm to capture with his parallel ghost traps.

I made French Toast

This morning I made French Toast for the first time. In France, French Toast is called “pain perdu” which means “lost bread”. They  call it this because they use stale bread to make it. In England it’s called “eggy bread”.

Here’s how you make it:

You need: Thick bread, eggs, milk, oil (or butter), cinnamon and sugar.

What you do:

  1. Make holes in the bread with a fork.
  2. Mix eggs and milk in a jug.
  3. Soak the bread in the mixture.
  4. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on the bread.
  5. Fry the bread over a low heat until it’s golden brown on both sides.

These are my favourite photos this week.
I really like them because they are fun to take and a bit unusual.

The 1st one is a view of inside a bush. There are some dead leaves that fell off the trees around a week ago. It’s what a beetle would see.

 

The 2nd one is me doing a funny jump over a bush. I like it because I’m in mid air that that kinda looks cool. I took it with a timer and left the camera(Powershot g11) on the ground.
